Washer Inspection Machine provides an automated solution for inspecting metal washers during high-volume production. Washers may look simple, but their dimensions and appearance still require consistent quality control. Small dimensional variations, burrs, or other visible defects can affect downstream assembly and product quality.
Automated Feeding for Metal Washers
The inspection process starts with automatic feeding. The machine uses a vibration disc feeding system to organize the washers and move them toward the inspection area. The feeding system helps present individual washers in a controlled position for continuous inspection.
Four CCD industrial cameras for washer inspection
The system uses four CCD industrial cameras to capture images of the washers. Multiple camera views allow different product features to be inspected during the same automated process. Controlled lighting helps the cameras capture clear images for analysis.

Dimensional and Appearance Inspection
The system can inspect key dimensions and visible product conditions. Typical inspection points for washers can include outer diameter, inner diameter, product profile, contour, burrs, abnormal edges, surface appearance, deformation, and other predefined visual defects.
The exact inspection criteria depend on the washer design and customer requirements. The vision software analyzes each captured image against the configured inspection standards and identifies products that do not meet the required conditions.
Real-Time OK and NG Inspection Results
After image analysis, the system classifies each washer according to the inspection result. The software interface displays OK and NG results, allowing operators to monitor the inspection process in real time. NG products can then be separated through the automated sorting process.

Inspection Speed of 250 Pieces per Minute
The inspection speed shown in this application is 250 pcs/min. This enables continuous inspection of a large number of washers and supports high-volume production. Actual speed can vary depending on product dimensions, feeding conditions, inspection requirements, and machine configuration.

A Practical Solution for Washer Quality Control
Metal washers may have a simple structure, but consistent dimensions and appearance remain important during production. An automated inspection process can combine feeding, product positioning, image acquisition, dimensional inspection, appearance inspection, and OK/NG classification in one workflow.
The washer inspection application shown here combines automatic feeding with CCD optical inspection and automated result classification. It provides a practical approach for manufacturers that need consistent quality inspection for high-volume washer production.
